Within indigenous cultures, individuals are born embodying one of the elements as part of their essence. They also carry the others as support elements. No one can be just one element without the presence of the others. Elements are also definable by clan, much like people born under a certain astrological sign. Indigenous people believe that the element we embody is predestined, perhaps reincarnational. Your essence also contains your genius
In this experiential workshop, we will use the shamanic journeywork method to explore our relationships with the elemental worlds with relation to their ability to facilitate healing. We will also seek to learn more about the qualities and abilities personified by the different elemental clans with relation to ourselves and our path in the world.
Bring a hand drum or rattle, a notebook, floor comforts and a bandanna or eyeshade. Power objects are welcome.
Research paleoanthropologist Hank Wesselman is one of those rare cutting edge scientists who truly walks between the worlds. He has spent much of his life living and working among traditional tribal peoples, primarily in Africa and Polynesia. In his explorations of these inner worlds, Hank may have also provided us with a glimpse into the possible evolutionary future of humanity.
