Journey into the Heart of Yoga

Mark teaches that yoga practice has three stages Body, Breath, Relationship
This workshop will look at theses elements sequentially:

Friday 25 Jan. 6-9 p.m.
Body
The first manifestation of yoga is the yoking together of mind and body.
This ynion is always present. Yoga allows us to come back to the place where we know this is true.

Sat. 26 Jan. 1-4 and 5-7 p.m.
Breath
Yoga is breath. Breath is life. Mark will lead students through a series of asanas focusing on ancient
breathing techniques to bring greater awareness of ourselves as the perfect manifestation of life itself.

Sun. 27 Jan. 1-4 and 5-7 p.m.
Relationship
Ultimately, real yoga is practiced off the mat. Having come home to ourselves, we will explore yoga practice in relation to the other people.
Some simple partner postures will be added to the practice. These postures help students develop the ability to connect with others while maintaining personal sovereignty. The word partner can scare people. Realize there are many types of partnership that happen in each of our lives. Yoga practice can help you skillfully engage more fully and be more present, in all your personal connections. No partner required to participate.
