KARIN KUHN

A passion for yoga, love of travel, meeting people and experiencing new countries and cultures, is what brought Karin half way around the world from South Africa to the shores of Maui. Her love of yoga began 8 years ago. Having owned and managed her own Production company for many years, the long hours and continued pressures of the industry encouraged her to seek out a means of managing stress while stay fit and healthy.
It was this decision that ultimately led her to make yoga her life. “Receiving my 200hr Integral Yoga teacher training certification from the Ananda Kutir Ashrama in Cape Town, South Africa was one of life’s high points”.
A wonder at the complexities of the human body and a fascination with anatomy led her to study further as a Personal Trainer, with a focus on developing functional strength, balance and co-ordination. But the teachings of yoga brought a surprise gift of more than just physical wellbeing. Another memorable occasion was the opening of her own studio in South Africa where she taught full time until her move to Maui. Having a degree in Business and Marketing also allowed her the opportunity of working as a consultant in the fitness industry. Karin has lived in London, traveled parts of Europe and Asia and looks forward to her time in Hawaii. Precise alignment and breath connection are key principles in all my classes. I also believe in offering variations and adjustments so that students develop a practice that suits them best and that honors the daily changes in body and mind. My classes are relaxed, fun and open. I want it to be a space where we can learn, grow and share together. I love the fact that yoga is a lifelong journey and that we get to share this with others to make positive changes in ourselves and our world”.
I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU IN CLASS!
