KYLIE COLE HIGDON

Kylie Cole began her yoga journey in 1991 with Iyengar Yoga and has since then been influenced by various styles including Anusara, Ashtanga , Restorative & Therapeutic Yoga. Kylie has also studied Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupressure Massage, Qi Gong and Ayruveda. Often she incorporates the theories of these philosophies into her instruction with awareness of energy gates & channels as well as uses props to gain proper alignment and prana flow. Kylie’s classes are relaxed and fun with a focus on opening to the body’s inherent wisdom and rhythms.
Kylie started teaching in 1997 and had her own studio in Boise, Idaho before moving to Maui in 2004 and having children. Now a mom of two, Kylie is ready to again immerse herself in teaching and desires to share her experiences of Yoga, pregnancy, birth, and child-rearing with other moms and moms-to-be.
While in Boise, Kylie also practiced as a Doula for five years and brings this information and experience to her classes. She invites new moms and pregnant women to come and enjoy and explore the experience of yoga in a pregnant body. Kylie believes yoga is the perfect tool for preparing women for each changing phase of pregnancy, the physical & mental challenges of giving birth and all the joys & demands of motherhood, the most important job there is.
